Sandler O’Neill & Partners’ Robert Albertson says we’re in a trading market. He also thinks we’re in a massive secular bear market based on the deleveraging cycle. Albertson believes the market has run well ahead of itself:

TPC,
Do you have any opinions on where gold will go if we’re in a massive deflationary environment? Gold right now is skyrocketing not due to inflation but more on the back of a dead and deader dollar. If we are indeed deleveraging wouldn’t demand for dollars increase? Would that have a negative affect on gold?
We’ve been hearing this since March 2009 when the rally began.
