ECRI: RECOVERY TO SLOW BY MID-YEAR

5 March 2010 by Cullen Roche 0 Comments

The ECRI’s latest data continues to reflect a slowing U.S. economy.  Their weekly leading index firmed to 129.8 from last week’s reading of 128.4, however, the growth rate continued to decline hitting a 30 week low of 13.7% versus last week’s reading of 14.9%.

ECRI Managing Director Lakschman Achuthan says the recovery is likely to slow mid this Summer:

“The decline underscores our view that U.S. economic growth will start easing by mid-year”
