The “improvement” is entirely seasonal.   There has been first quarter improvement in each of the last 6 years – without fail.  If there’s one thing we can bet on it is that housing figures will improve in the first (& maybe the second) quarter of this year.  One thing we can also bet on: it doesn’t really mean anything in terms of the overall price trend.
