It is worrying that he said he knows what will happen to the dollar but is not at libery to discuss it. Dollar replacement anyone?

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the implications of a potential dollar replacement. Any thoughts? The likely replacement would be a basket of course, but I am not sure that that would necessarily have hugely negative impacts on the USD.

I don't know if it will have a negative impact on the USD. I mean…the strength of the USD is its reserve currency status. If we can no longer print as much money, that means we as a country will have to live within our means more. It is uncharted waters. As for a replacement…I couldn't even guess. I hope it is actually backed up by something other than the full faith of the IMF and UN! My guess is probably it will start off as a sort of coupon for international transactions, like for oil, rather than an actual currency that we will all start using…at least for now…
