HOUSEKEEPING: A CONFUSING SERIES OF TUBES….

Although I am no tech idiot, it’s safe to say that my knowledge of this “series of tubes” we call the internet is not exactly my area of expertise. Readers have probably noticed a serious glitch occurring on the site at times. At random points during the day the site will bog down or perhaps not even load. It tends to occur for short stints at random points during the day. Anyhow, after hours of research and help from a few tech gurus I was able to pinpoint the problem. A plug-in on Wordpress (discovering new plug0ins on WP is like Xmas for someone who has never worked with WordPress) was taking up 75% of my memory and causing the site to run very slowly. It’s been removed and I hope the issue has been entirely resolved.

If anyone has problems in the future please leave me a comment or let me know what you’re seeing. The site is growing a bit big for its britches and I just wanted to thank everyone who has hung in there with me since the days just a year ago when we were a lowly 50 reader a day site. The site is nothing without its readers and superb commenters so thanks for everything and sorry for the issues.

We all need help deciphering what is going on. Trust, me, I’ve been around the block more than a few times and the houses here still look very confusing….Hopefully my insights help us all decipher this market. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
