We recently posted this excellent piece by BatteryMarch on the “Land of Today” – Brazil.  On the back of Brazil’s Olympic win it’s worth revisiting. The victory is likely further fuel for growth in Brazil. Brazil remains a developing nation and they will want to make the same statement that China made with their Olympic spectacle last year – “we’ve arrived”.  Estimates are calling for a $50B injection into the Brazilian economy.  Expect a huge ramp-up in government spending and massive infrastructure projects over the coming 6 years as Rio preps for the whole world to see it in all its grandeur.  Brazil also has the World Cup in 4 years….The investment thesis surrounding Brazil only becomes more and more intriguing….Perhaps my favorite global play.
