NAT GAS BECOMES INTRIGUING

21 February 2009 by Cullen Roche 0 Comments

One of the most compelling long-term investment themes is natural gas.   Among the bullish bullet points:

1. Natural gas is Obama’s preferred form of alternative energy.

2. The price is off 70% from the 52 week high.

3. Nat gas is a cheaper option than oil.

4. It is a cleaner fuel than oil.  As the democrats push for cleaner fuel standards natural gas will be the primary beneficiary.

5. It is more abundant in the U.S. than oil – if we are going to focus on reducing our dependence on foreign energy this is the most abundant and obvious form of energy.

6. Production has dropped drastically which could be setting up for severe supply shortages when the economy recovers.
