Good stuff. Doesn’t sound like PTJ though, sounds more like an economist that has reworded a macro view. I’m hard pressed to follow public utterances of such a heretofore private man though. Maybe he’s going mainstream in his old age – mimicking the buy side herd. Just the same, great to get a peak into what the “great one” might be thinking. Thanks for posting it.

Does anyone think PTJ is going to make available to the public what his true strategies are? Didn’t read the whole thing, but my guess is that PTJ is fading everything he talked about in that letter.

What could take mkts lower – China data slowing; India swine flu + weak monsoon; Baltic Index weaker; Overbought mkt; Weakish retail sales; Aug-Sep seasonality

What could take it higher – Fund performance chasing; Continued better data whether real or perceived (ISM, Housing, Consumer confidence)

So, we could go either way … correcting a bit here would make sense … but a Prechter collapse? Why? Today Denninger talks about a $ collapse and the equity collapse … he probably did not read Prechter’s $ bottom … but they both agree on an equity collapse! Clutching at straws

It does seem everyone is calling for a minor pullback short term before a rally to 1250 or the like. I’ve been hearing “overbought” and “pullback” for a while now. The market continues to confound everyone by tricking the bears and running their stops.
