Rail Traffic and Retail Sales – More Muddle Through

Here are some ugly charts for you:

Rail traffic came in at 3.7% this week on a year over year basis. This brought the 12 week moving average to just 2.7% which is the second lowest reading in the last 7 months.

And retail sales slowed to a crawl at just 1.8%. All consistent with a continued “muddle through” economy.
