RANDOM FACT FROM READER JACOB

9 August 2009 by Cullen Roche 2 Comments

We are now 14.7 % from the 10 month SMA on SPY – that has only happened 10/190 times (including this month) since October 1993.  That is a 5.3% probability.  The last time we were this overbought was May 1999….

A betting man wouldn’t like his chances at this poker table.  Do you feel lucky punk?  Well, do ya?

Interesting. What would be valueable is to know the following:

If you sold short every time this happened, and had a 10% stop with no re-entry until the next signal, would you have beaten the market? What would be your win/loss ratio? Maximum gain?
