The Fed stops buying Treasuries. How high can rates go? I hope well over 10% even in the face of deflation. That is my dream scenario. Double digit rates on Treasuries and price deflation. Note to China and Japan: please stop buying Treasuries.

Prescient11:

I saw some stats that the biggest buyer of treasuries is the Fed (holding $4.3 Trillion of public debt, Japan and China hold about equal amounts of $0.8 Trillion).

Please, things are not lining up indeed. How the treasuries are continuing to sell at such low rates is ridiculous.

If you are a primary dealer, how can one buy treasuries at such low rates if inflation is going to take this market to 20k.

Be afraid at these levels, be very afraid.

AIG is the next VW. What a great short to scale into.
