TRANSPORTS LAG

26 February 2009 by Cullen Roche 0 Comments

The transportation index is an excellent barometer of market health.  The consumer is the epicenter of our economy.  Someone has to transport all of those goods from merchant to consumer. If transportation is doing poorly it’s usually due to weakness in the consumer.

While the S&P and Nasdaq continue to trade above the November lows the transportation index blasted thru the November lows without even thinking twice.
