Update: There’s Still Deflation in Hyperinflation Forecasts

3 years ago I poked a little fun at the hyperinflationists with a post citing the price of a Shadow Stats subscription.  I found it pretty interesting to note that the price of a Shadow Stats subscription had been the same for the last 5 years.   After all, if we were seeing big time inflation then the cost of that subscription should be rising at least a little bit every year.  Instead, it hasn’t budged at all.

So, here we are 3 years later and the price for a Shadow Stats subscription still hasn’t budged!  At $175 for a year long subscription, you still get the same Shadow Stats.  The cost of the subscription has remained the same even as inflation has moved higher.  So, in real terms, there’s actually been deflation in the cost of a Shadow Stats subscription.  Pretty ironic for a service that has been touting the coming hyperinflation for about a decade…..
