This one slipped past my radar last week. After all, there is only so much CNBC the human brain can handle in any weekly period.
Eric Hovde is on the short list of investors who were expecting many of the problems our economy is confronted with. Unlike the U.S. Congress, I don’t see the utility in listening to people who didn’t forecast these issues. Like myself, Hovde was very bearish about housing and the general economy in 2006 and 2007, but believes the current rally could run. His long-term outlook is none too rosy either:
