China was the growth engine of the 2003-2007 bull. Their market was the first to deteriorate substantially and now, after a 73% peak to trough decline, the Hang Seng is showing signs of stabilizing after a series of higher lows.
Many investors believe the U.S., being the epicenter of the storm, will lead us out, but I don’t think so. I think China will be the first to recover and the U.S. will lag.
